Believe & Achieve: Youth Summit Saturday

smile-girlsJoin us on Saturday April 18 at the Rockyford School Cafeteria for a fun-filled morning of service, performance and a Celebration of the Arts.Celebrate Global Youth Service Day (#GYSD) and participate in a Generation Indigenous (#GenI) Challenge at the same time!

Open to youth, ages 11-25, this SATURDAY at the the Rockyford School Cafeteria, from 11AM to 1:30 PM.


  • Spoken Word Clinics: Jasmine Mans and Autumn White Eyes will lead clinics to help you develop your voice as an instrument of change for your own life and the world.
  • Multi-Media Art Clinic: Andres Gallardo will lead you in the creation of artwork with an impact — help him paint a mural with a message
  • Turn YOUR Ideas into Action: LCE Founder Maggie Dunne, will listen to YOUR ideas for youth-led projects, she’ll help you develop a good “pitch” to promote the idea, and she’ll help YOU build a plan to turn some of those ideas into action!
  • Build a Portable Edible Garden: LCE Youth Board member Summer Montileaux has turned her ideas into action many times! This time, she earned a grant to build edible container gardens for people in the community. As you build the gardens Kibbe Conti, Creator of the Four Winds Nutritional Model, will tell you about traditional Lakota approaches to nutrition.


AND, oh yeah…. there will be LUNCH, free t-shirts, giveaways and edible container gardens!
